Originally starting from humble beginnings, Forest Sofa has grown into a thriving, close-knit team of over 70 people, each playing an important role in bringing our furniture to life. While the business has expanded over the years, it has always retained its family-run ethos, where skill, pride and collaboration sit at the centre of everything we do.

At the heart of our company is our bustling factory floor, where the majority of our team can be found. This is where raw materials are transformed into beautifully finished pieces of furniture through a series of carefully managed stages. From our wood mill, where solid beechwood frames are expertly crafted, to our cutting tables where premium leathers and fabrics are prepared, every step is handled by specialists who understand their craft inside out. Further along the process, our upholsterers and deep buttoners bring each design to life, carefully shaping, padding and finishing every detail by hand. The factory truly is the engine of Forest Sofa, combining traditional skills with a shared commitment to quality.

Our production team is made up of a wide range of skilled roles, each essential to the finished product. This includes wood cutters, frame builders and strainers who form the structure, machinists who sew with precision, leather and fabric cutters who ensure minimal waste and consistency, upholsterers who assemble each piece, and specialist deep buttoners responsible for the signature detailing found on our Chesterfield designs. The final stages are just as important, with dedicated furniture packers and van loaders ensuring every item leaves our factory safely and in perfect condition.

Beyond the factory, our wider team supports the continued growth and success of the business. Across our two sites, we have experienced factory managers and directors overseeing production, alongside a knowledgeable sales team working closely with our retail and trade partners. Our marketing team helps bring our products to life online, sharing our story and showcasing the craftsmanship behind every piece.
