- The Company
Forest Contract the commercial arm of parent company Forest Sofa Ltd is looking to expand its online product range.
Our company ethos is to Learn, Evolve, Adapt and Develop. This is demonstrated in the new products we produce each year and the new ways of working that our well respected and hard-working employees help make happen.
- The Role
Following your review of Forest Contract’s existing product range you will explore other products offered by existing suppliers that are not currently in the Forest range. You will make recommendations for inclusion based on online research and assist with a pricing strategy following a competitor analysis.
Once you have justified your recommendation the fun starts:
You will be tasked with adding the products to the website, and digital catalogue and optimising the content to help gain visibility. Your new found product knowledge will need to be passed to the sales team, so you will assist the Contract Sales Manager in training the sales team on any new products you’ve found and introduced.
To generate some interest in your new products you will work with the marketing manager to develop an e-mail marketing campaign to promote your work, which will drum up interest leading to sales.
When existing suppliers have been saturated, working with the Contract Manager you will seek out prospective new partners, facilitate initial meetings and produce a proposal for the inclusion of any ‘new’ suppliers and products and the process will repeat again.
Throughout your placement, you will receive regular support and guidance from the Contract Sales Manager and members of the contract sales team.
Tangible measures of performance will be used to justify the offer of permanent placement, including:
Number of new products introduced;
